This privacy policy explains how oTakhi collects, uses, and discloses personal information during your visit of the web site at http://www.otakhi.com and when using oTakhi software. This policy may be amended when new service is added or existing ones modified. We recommend you to review this policy from time to time to make sure that you stay abreast of the latest changes and understand its implications.

What Personal Information Do We Collect?

oTakhi collects personal information during registration and when you voluntarily provide information to your member profile. At the minimum, we collect your name and e-mail address to notify you on the approval of your account. For security reason, we also monitor your activities accessing your personal vault. This is part of the audit log that we periodically generate and scan for suspicious activities. As part of this process, some information is automatically collected, such as your Internet Protocol (IP) address and your operating system.

As our core business, oTakhi hosts members' data files as encrypted blobs in our secure database. These blobs are data files encryped with individual member's session keys. During normal operation, without a member's prior consent, no one, other than the owner, is permitted access to the keys required to decrypt the data and view plain text contents. However, as emergency measure (see "Our Policy on Hosted Data" for additional information), a key recovery mechanism will be activated by security officers to recover a member's keys and data.

How Do We Use Personal Information?

The main reason that we collect personal information is to assist you in using our services, to provide you with information on other products or services we think will be of interest to you, to notify you change of status in regard to your account. For example, we may use the information we collect:

• to send you a welcoming email and to notify you about the approval of your account;
• to respond to your emails, comments, requests or complaints;
• to contact you about suspension of your account, expiry of certificate, and issues with payments;
• for the specific purpose for which the information was provided.

Sharing Of Personal Information

We do not share your personal information with third party except as described in this Privacy Policy. We may share anonymous and aggregrate information with vendors, consultants and other service providers who are engaged by us to work with the software or the services and who need access to such information to carry out their work for us. Note that nothing herein restricts the sharing of aggregate information, which may be shared with third parties without your consent.

You understand that when you use the oTakhi software, information in your profile and those you post in the messaging forums, and files you shared in groups will be available to other members. We recommend you use caution when giving out personal information to others and report to us immediately if you believe your identity or personal information has been misused.

Our Policy on Hosted Data

oTakhi hosts your data files, encryption keys, and access control policies in our secure database. Under normal circumstances, only you and members that you give permission to can retrieve keys required for decrypting your data files using oTakhi Client. From time to time, by means of a controlled key recovery mechanism, our security officers may find it necessary to disclose your vault contents:

• To anyone authorized by law to serve judicial process.
• To a government agency, in performance of its duties.
• To a congressional office, if the vault owner requests it.
• In response to a subpoena or court order.
• When it pertains to a legal proceeding that involves oTakhi.

Children

oTakhi does not knowingly collects personal information from children 13 and younger. If such case is discovered, the information is immediately removed from our system and the responsible party notified.

Links To Other Websites

oTakhi applications often contain links to other web sites. Any personal information you provide on the linked pages is provided directly to that third party and is subject to that third party's privacy policy. We are not responsible for the content or privacy and security practices and policies of web sites to which the application links to. We advice you to learn about their privacy and security practices and policies before providing them with personal information.
